11t and ESSER Summer School

Welcome to the information page for Warren Woods Summer School for High School Students!
 

What is the difference between 11t and ESSER?

11t funded students will meet in-person for Summer School class. Students are eligible for 11t classes if they are English Language Learners (ELL), have an active IEP, meet low-income guidelines (i.e. qualify for free or reduced lunch), are homeless, or are a youth in foster care.

ESSER funded students will take an online class with a Summer School mentor. Students who are not eligible for 11t classes will be eligible for ESSER classes.

Dates and Times of Summer School

July 17 to August 10 (Monday through Thursday)

In person (11t) classes will meet from 10 AM to 2 PM with a 1/2 hour lunch break. Meals will be provided through the Meet-Up-and-Eat-Up program. Transportation will be available for students who qualify.

Mentor teachers for ESSER classes will also be available Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM and select evening hours that will be announced in coming weeks.

Location of Summer School

Classes for 11t students will be held at the Warren Woods Education Center, 12900 Frazho Road, Warren. Use Door #1.

Costs

There is no cost for students in these programs.

Student and Parent Information Meetings

Online information meetings will be held on the following dates and times for parents and students to learn more about the Summer School program and to ask questions. Registration will be required.

ESSER (online) students:  Monday, July 10th @ 7 PM
