Enterprise High School commercial woods teacher, Dave Schenburn was named the Macomb County Outstanding Teacher of the Year by the Macomb Daily's Newspaper in Education Program. This program is support by Comcast cable television and 16 other local sponsors. The program is based on how teachers use different resources (Macomb Daily papers and Comcast cable) in their classroom to help students learn. 

    Dave received the award for his high level of professional commitment and competency in his work with students and colleagues. Dave teaches his students how to use the newspaper in locating housing, employment, transportation, etc.. He relies on the paper to help fulfill his goal of preparing students for their adult roles.

    Dave's creativity, enthusiasm and real concern for woodworking in education are noteworthy, but Dave's greatest asset, also his greatest challenge, is his work as a mentor to his students. We are proud of Dave and his dedication to Enterprise high and the Warren Woods community.
