WWT Radio was just an idea back in 2005. That idea became a reality in early 2006, when the Warren Woods Educational Foundation generously gave a $25,000 grant to build the studio space and to purchase the broadcasting computers from Enco.

During the 2006/2007 school year, eleven students committed themselves to WWT Radio and began broadcasting through the school’s website.

Today, WWT Radio is a fully-functional full-service station broadcasting entirely online. We broadcast a wide variety of music such as Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Big Band, Rock, Country, Jazz, Oldies, and much more. WWT Radio also broadcasts important school information, WWT sporting events and a variety of talk shows.

WWT Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week around the world during the school year.

WWT Radio has leapt into the mobile World, and will soon be broadcasting to listeners through their cellular phones. Web Radio World, the school's web-based station provider, made a deal with Spodtronic which is the first worldwide radio and podcast content Hub. What does this mean to the WWT Radio faithful? It means instant access to their favorite station with the use of their cell phone. Spodtronic's services turn cell phones into satellite radio receivers. So now, anyone in the World who owns a cell phone will soon be able to listen to the broadcast of WWT's Radio Station. Currently, this service is only available in Europe, but plans are in the making to bring this new feature to the United States. Major cell phone providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile will activate the radio streaming in the very near future.
