Head Coach Mike Mahar:

Mike Mahar is entering his third year as the Head Football Coach at Warren Woods Tower. Entering his first year, Mike had to change the culture and once he did, things have continued to improve for the Titans. After starting 0-5 that first year, the Titans won 7 straight before losing again. In just his second year, he led the Titans to the playoffs for the first time in 7 years.

Mike has been coaching high school and middle school football in some type of capacity for 15 years. He started out at Warren Woods tower on the Junior Varsity in 2000. From there he bounced around from place to place. He did a stint as the offensive coordinator St. Clair Shores Lakeview helping the Huskies to the school’s first ever playoff berth. From there he became the offensive coordinator at Fraser High school leading the Rambelers to their best record in 10 years. Then in 2012, he was given his first shot as a head coach at Warren Woods tower and has been their ever since.

Mike played college football at Saginaw Valley State University. He played quarterback for 5 years during the Jerry Kill Era. He gained the knowledge from 1994-1999 that the game of football is more about people and relationships than it is about wins and losses. He hopes to instill that same knowledge on this his players.

Mike resides in Macomb, Mi with his wife Stephanie and his three boys Keagan, Cade, and Bryce.
