Calcium chloride is being applied to the construction access drive on the east side of Briarwood Elementary to help control dust.

Masonry for the new teacher’s lounge and storage room is well underway.  Brick veneer will be starting shortly.

The new vertical unit ventilators (VUV’s) are being installed into each classroom.  These units will provide heating, cooling and fresh air.  They are being connected to new ductwork that will provide even air flow and temperatures throughout the classroom.

Masonry has started for the new media center walls.  This photo is taken at the northwest corner of Teacher’s Resource Room 128 looking southeast.

The footings for the new multi-purpose room are complete.  Demolition of the existing classrooms and media center is underway.  The pipe sticking up in the foreground is the 8” watermain that was installed along the entire west side of the building out to Leisure Drive.  It will be connected to the new fire protection system.

The new east wall of the Teacher’s Presentation Center (T.P.C. – Computer Lab) is being constructed.  This area was formerly an exterior courtyard.
